What is your BIG Idea
for transformative change in our schools?

Submit your FINAL draft online!

We love to help BIG ideas come to life

Our annual grant program provides the means to connect students with the resources, experiences and opportunities to meet their full potential and enhance learning in our local classrooms.

Successful Big Ideas Grants will impact students across multiple classrooms, whole grade levels within a school, or meaningful portions of a school community.  We are particularly supportive of collaborative projects between multiple staff.

For fall 2024, the Bellingham School Foundation has identified the following priority areas for funding:
Mental health support and social emotional learning
STEM
Literacy and Libraries

However, projects are not limited to these categories. If you have an impactful or creative project that doesnt fit neatly into one of these categories please apply!

Projects that will make longterm alterations to school grounds or buildings must be approved by the Director of Facilities before any award can be made.

Applications must be received by 11:59 PM on October 20th.

Final decisions and notification of awards will be done in early November.
