Nominate any Bellingham School District employee who has gone the extra mile to make the educational experience extra-special for a student in your life. Nominations are accepted anytime, with a winner chosen to be recognized at our annual fall gala.

Kay Reilly
We were thrilled to honor Kay Reilly, Band Director at Squalicum High School, with this year’s grand prize award at this year’s gala!

Terri Cruikshank
Spring 2025 Recipient
Terri is a bus driver at Roosevelt Elementary, and is so much more than transportation. She’s a daily source of comfort and joy. From morning games of rock, paper, scissors to cheering kids on at Market Day, Terri helps students feel seen and celebrated.
Ariel Bodnar-Klein
Spring 2025 Recipient
Ariel is a paraeducator at Northern Heights, and is known for her warmth, flexibility, and creativity. Whether DJing recess dance parties or supporting classrooms with calm compassion, Ariel helps create a school environment filled with fun, learning, and connection.
